Dad of 6 complains of $444 grocery bill, gets roasted: 'This whole time I thought raising 6 kids was cheap'

Two undeniable truths are that having kids is expensive, and so are groceries nowadays. As a result, parents can get stung by the rising cost of living much more easily. When you have more mouths to feed, you usually need to be a lot more careful with how you budget for that.

However, that isn't the logic that everybody seems to follow. One father with six kids attracted the wrong type of viral attention recently when he complained of the extortionate cost of their weekly grocery shop. Showing a Trader Joe's receipt that totaled more than $444, it's no surprise that people had other ideas of how he could better spend his money. It has to be said that when you actually look at some of the items on that list, some of that money could probably have been better spent. Also, that amount of children is never going to be cheap.
